We are looking for a Material Hander to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. The primary responsibilities include unloading shipping containers, physically counting and inspecting received inventory, and delivering inventory to multiple locations in the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Unload shipping containers using either forklift or manually
- Ensure placement of inventory shipments in approved locations
- Confirm received quantity of product to packing lists
- Move inventory to appropriate warehouse locations, including production line
- Perform inventory cycle counts and report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with management and coworkers
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards to maintain accurate records
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
Requirements and skills
- Proven working experience as a Material Handler
- Familiarity with inventory software, databases and systems
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license
- High school degree
Career Level Required Entry Level (non-exempt)
Experience Required 0 – 12 months
Education Required High School or equivalent
