We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual for a position that will assist in the Fermentation department at our Augusta BioFacility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely transport pallets and/or supersacks of raw materials between the warehouse and production areas.
- Charge raw materials into mixing tanks in accordance with production schedules and recipes.
- Weigh and prepare smaller amounts of raw materials as needed for production team requirements. Other teams may require additional help from this role as needed.
- Ensure all materials are handled in compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate records of material movements, quantities, and inventory levels.
- Inspect and verify the condition of raw materials upon receipt and prior to charging.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on material handling equipment and report any issues or repairs needed.
- Assist with general warehouse organization and cleanliness, ensuring materials are stored properly and safely.
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with material handling in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and follow production schedules and SOPs.
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience handling raw materials in a production setting.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and equipment maintenance.
- Experience with inventory management systems or processes.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Regular exposure to warehouse and production environments, including noise, temperature variations, and airborne particles.
- Standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
