Are you our Business Development Representative?

This role reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager and offers a hybrid schedule based out of our Auburn Hills, MI, facility. As a key leader within our finance team, you will drive operational efficiency, foster collaboration across teams, and contribute to our organization's financial health and success. Your ability to manage priorities, focus on detail, and deliver results will be critical in this impactful position.

Position Summary

Atlas Copco is building a new Inside Sales organization, and this role will be critical in carrying out the mission of that organization. Here you will have an opportunity to execute the business development strategy in support of new and existing customers. You will be instrumental in our plan to increase sales while ensuring an exceptional customer experience with Atlas Copco.   As the Business Development Representative or “BDR”, you will be a key contributor to the new Inside Sales organization being created by Atlas Copco. You will be responsible for managing all inbound marketing leads, via phone calls, website inquiries, emails, events, and our Live Chat software to drive sales growth.

This Includes

  • Develop strong working relationships with our prospects, customers, sales team, distributors, and other departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Manage all inbound marketing leads including phone calls, website inquiries, emails, events, and chatbot.
  • Make outbound phone calls to with the purpose of converting inbound leads.
  • Execute and improve business processes to ensure successful lead conversion and increased sales.
  • Establish and follow best practices for lead follow up.
  • Qualify and distribute leads to sales team and distributors where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with sales team regarding strategic sales methods.
  • Leveraging our CRM system to assign all opportunities and following-up to ensure we close the loop.
  • Develop and lead nurture campaigns to help drive and turn unqualified leads into sales qualified leads.
  • Develop strong working relationships with sales team, distributors, and other departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, end-user customers, opportunities, quotes, contacts, and correspondence in our CRM.

To Succeed, You Will Need

  • 1 years working in a sales organization.
  • A working knowledge of digital marketing tactics and lead generation / management.
  • Experience in a partner selling environment is helpful.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and building strategic partnerships.
  • A growth mindset, and an inherent desire to be great.
  • Collaborate with your peers and business partners. Develop common goals to improve processes and drive profitable sales growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have an ability to understand the full organization and work inter-departmentally.
  • Have the necessary technical skills, including MS applications, working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce experience is helpful), and prospecting tools (Outreach, Zoominfo, etc.) is highly valued.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Some travel to customers and internal meetings is required.
