Hiring Junior Industrial Maintenance/ Conveyor Belt Technician
Atlas Equipment Services is a small conveyor maintenance company servicing a 180-mile radius of Mayfield, KY. We are seeking driven individuals eager to learn a highly rewarding trade.
Responsibilities:
Shop and Field work required- installing and servicing pulleys, bearings, idlers, gearboxes, etc.
Mechanical and vulcanized splicing
Learn the correct terminology of conveyor components
Work as a team with other belt technicians to complete challenging and sometimes complex maintenance tasks
Willing to learn belt vulcanizing
Able to learn crane hand signals
Requirements:
Able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens
Able to obtain DOT physical
Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
Must be punctual with morning start times
Willing to travel (hotels and per diems covered by Atlas)
- Most jobs within a 2-hour radius of Mayfield do not require overnight stays. Overnight stays are sometimes necessary on short notice.
Willing to work in all weather conditions
Capable of lifting 50-100 lbs.
Must be a respectful communicator
Must be safety-oriented and have a high attention to detail
Experience:
Ability to weld is a big plus
Ability to operate heavy machinery such as manlifts and telehandlers
Experience with belt conveyors, including changing out pulleys, bearings, idlers, gearboxes, etc., preferred but not required
Experience with mechanical and vulcanized splicing preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
