What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Atlas Financial Solutions?
***Please Note: Training will be provided but basic understanding of accounting concepts is required.
Job Duties:
· Work with monthly clients to record their business transactions
· Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly basis
· Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
· Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
· Perform account receivable functions including invoicing and deposits
· Review financial reports monthly
· Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
· Recording Journal Entries: sales tax, payroll, depreciation, third party app fees, adjusting end of year
· Maintain assets and liabilities on the balance sheet
· Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
· Compile 1099s
· Assist with internal administration work
Requirements:
· Degree in Business/Finance, Accounting, or Economics OR obtaining a degree in one of the three OR if no degree 3 years plus in a bookkeeping roll.
· Basic accounting knowledge
· Understanding accounting best practices
· Knowledge of GAAP or another accounting framework
· Data entry skills
· High attention to detail
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
· Produce work with a high level of accuracy
· Professionalism and organization skills
· Knowledge of Quickbooks online
**Please Note: Pay is based on performance and experience $19 to $23 an hour. Upon excellent work performance and or receiving certifications and improved performance you will receive wage increases.
