Job Overview
The Accounts Payable & Accounting Process Manager will oversee invoice auditing, payment processing, vendor management, and financial reporting while implementing best practices for cash flow and budget management. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, optimizing expenses, and ensuring timely payments to support the overall success of Atlas Restaurant Group.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Invoice Auditing
- Oversee the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, approvals, and timely disbursement of payments.
- Audit vendor invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow projections to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Manage AP aging reports to prioritize payments while optimizing working capital.
- Develop and implement strategies to balance outgoing payments with incoming revenue.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to forecast cash needs and adjust spending accordingly.
Budget Management & Expense Control
- Assist in creating and managing operational budgets for restaurant locations.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
- Collaborate with leadership to set spending limits and track expenses against budgets.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify efficiencies and automation opportunities in AP and financial workflows.
- Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Three or more years of experience in accounts payable, cash flow, or general accounting (preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial processes.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Restaurant365, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
