What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ephemera Lead Line Cook position at Atlas Group COS?
Ephemera is a small scale, creative fine-dining establishment with primary focus on tasting menu and pairing experiences. Originally established as a series of conceptual underground pop-up dinners, Ephemera has since been in a permanent location hidden inside the bustling CO.A.T.I. Food Hall and Event Space. We offer a full range from fresh oysters to daily-changing prix fixe tasting menus, as well as a full cocktail bar and premium selection of wines.
We are seeking an experienced culinary professional to take on lead line roles including daily prep, to-order food item fire, presentation, and service with occasional direct guest interaction. Our kitchen creates a constantly rotating menu of creative dishes including all varieties of proteins, vegetables, baked items, and any myriad of ingredients. A constantly creative approach is a must, and all Cooks and Chefs are expected to present ideas and contribute to the creation of new dishes. The Lead Line position comes with opportunity to advance to as high as Sous Chef in the foreseeable future with excellent work ethic, skill, and excitement to learn and grow with and as a team. Culinary school is not a requirement; however 5 years minimum in upscale, scratch kitchen experience is.
At Ephemera, we focus our hospitality on a full-team service model, meaning guest interaction is a must for everyone from Line Cook to Exec Chef to Sommelier. As such, we have built a full house tip pool model that offers $20-$24/Hr for most BOH and $28-$36/hr for most FOH. Benefits include accumulated PTO and Sick Pay, as well as access to primary care health, and 401K match.
