We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and organized Operations Manager to oversee essential payroll, HR, financial, and operational functions. This role is pivotal to ensuring seamless operations across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll and Compensation:
- Manage and process weekly payroll for 100 employees across 8 locations using Toast Payroll.
- Administer bonuses, tip pool policies, PTO accruals, and 401K enrollment/opt-out processes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, wage regulations, and company policies.
Human Resources:
- Conduct onboarding/offboarding audits and maintain employee files in BambooHR and Toast Payroll.
- Investigate and address employee complaints, including harassment claims, and recommend action to leadership.
- Manage unemployment claims, workers’ compensation policies, and supplemental health plan enrollments.
- Inform leadership on updates to labor laws and create/update internal policies and procedures.
Financial Oversight:
- Prepare financial reports, including COGs, P&L, payroll summaries, and inventory data.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, standardizing AP processes using Melio.
- Develop and maintain budgets in Restaurant Systems Pro (RSP).
- Review inventory management reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Office and Vendor Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and accounting needs.
- Build relationships with location managers, providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training in HR and software systems.
- Maintain and oversee licenses, permits, insurance documentation, and renewals.
Project Management:
- Assist in launching new locations, including setting up pay systems, software, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless onboarding and compliance with new processes.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly sales tax, annual 1099s, and W-2 distribution.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and wage regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Expertise in payroll systems (e.g., Toast Payroll), HR processes, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, wage compliance, and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with software systems such as Restaurant Systems Pro, Quickbooks, BambooHR, and Melio.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
