Atlas Machine And Supply seeks an experienced Field Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our Field Service Division, you will be responsible for repairing and modifying industrial equipment in-house and on-site at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preliminary site visits and job planning
- Perform repairs or modifications of equipment as applicable in the field
- Operate various portable machining equipment to complete tasks (mills, flange facers, boring bars, lathes, welders, etc.)
- Assist the machine shop with jobs when no field work is scheduled
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff members
- Develop and implement efficient work procedures to ensure high-quality results
- Collaborate with project engineers and supervisors to discuss work scope and requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanic and onsite field machining
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- DOT certification required; must be 21 years or older
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Valid CDL License a plus
