Overview:
Atlas Machinery Rentals is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Yard / Equipment Technician to join our team in Pueblo West, CO. This position offers flexibility for part-time or full-time work, depending on your availability. As a Yard / Equipment Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and delivering rental equipment, assisting customers, and keeping the yard organized. Responsibilities:
-Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance tasks such as washing equipment, oil and filter changes, basic safety checks, greasing, and ensuring equipment is in safe working order before delivery.
-Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload rental equipment, ensuring proper securing of equipment to trailers.
-Delivery & Operation: Operate machinery for brief amounts of time during deliveries, ensuring the safe transport and delivery of equipment to customers.
-Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by educating customers on the safe and proper use of rented equipment. Answer questions and provide guidance on basic operations and safety requirements.
-Equipment Inspection: Inspect rental equipment upon return for damage, fuel levels, hours used, and overall condition. Clean equipment as necessary, including pressure washing after returns.
-Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard organized and free of debris. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the yard area.
-Safety Compliance: Conduct basic safety checks on all rental equipment and ensure that safety decals and compliance requirements are met. Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
-General Duties: Perform general yard duties as required and assisting with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
-Previous experience with equipment operation, maintenance, towing, and customer service is preferred but not required.
-Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
-Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance, such as oil changes, filter replacement, and safety checks.
-Willingness to learn how to operate machinery and trailers safely, including securing equipment for transport.
-Strong customer service skills with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
-Ability to solve various problems both customer centric and equipment related.
-A team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
Schedule:
-Part-time or full-time (30-40 hours per week).
-8-hour shifts, with flexible scheduling based on the needs of both the applicant and employer. Shifts may vary, including availability on weekdays and weekends, depending on business demands.
Compensation:
-Competitive pay up to $24 per hour based on experience.
