What You’ll Do
- Embody the mission and values of Atlas Preparatory School and execute rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
- Interpret home language survey responses for new enrollments to identify students who may qualify for CLDE services
- Plan for and deliver engaging, motivating, and rigorous small group push-in or pull-out services for all students who are classified as NEP-1, NEP-2, or LEP-3
- Teach, support, and enhance school-wide systems and expectations at all times, with all students
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental level and interest of the students
- Serve as an adviser for a group of students and their families, including regular communication, problem solving, and hosting quarterly family conferences
- Document all syllabi, assignments, and other curricular materials
- Create, edit, revise, and share lesson plans for the school to retain as needed
- Maintain compliance (annual) paperwork including ELLP's, quarterly monitor year plans, district paperwork, as well as beginning of the year and end of the year parent letters
- Administer daily, weekly, interim, and end-of-year assessments to consistently capture student learning
- Analyze NWEA MAP, W-APT, ACCESS, iReady, and quarterly grades in order to achieve student projected growth targets and to inform best practices
- Collaborate with colleagues and instructional coaches with sincerity and a growth mindset
- Provide consultation to general education teachers to support learning outcomes for all students classified as LEP-4, LEP-5, and LEP-6
- Support colleagues during their absences by providing classroom coverage (compensated additionally)
- Draft scholar report cards to ensure meaningful information is displayed for families and revise as needed
- Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Be present for all quarterly parent/teacher conferences and actively engage with families
- Support the summer REACH beyond program
- Actively engage with families to understand their backgrounds and experiences in order to support an equitable and inclusive school environment
- Maintain the school culture of high academic and behavioral expectations through continuous reflection
- Participate in additional activities including field trips, academic support sessions, community building events, graduations, and other required programs as needed throughout the year to best serve our students and community
- Actively participate in professional development, district-level training sessions, and learning opportunities as needed/required
- Support various duties to include arrival, dismissal, and lunch
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried/Exempt
- Annual Salary Range*: $50,500 - $63,549 (DOE)
- Signing Bonus: $1,000
- Full Time; Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Annual Calendar and Start Date
- 212 working days
- Please note this includes 3 days of orientation for new staff. Following years will consist of only 209 work days.
- Start Date: July 9th, 2025
*Prorated if employment begins after July 1, 2025.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Able to meet “in-field status” for the position with one of the following within 90 days of hire (required):
- Colorado Department of Education License with endorsement in ELL
- 24 semester hours of specific coursework as identified on the CLD added endorsement worksheet
- Successful completion of a state-approved ELL program
- Ability to successfully pass all required background screening pursuant to CRS § 22-30.5-110.7

Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of CLDE / ELL teaching experience
- Bilingual or experience working with bilingual students
Essential Job Functions
