What You’ll Do
- Complete routine, preventative maintenance across the Atlas campuses
- HVAC, plumbing, and electrical related maintenance/repairs of facilities, grounds, and related property
- Assist with facility refurbishment and renovations
- Ensure all Atlas buildings remain consistently secured (doors, windows, etc.)
- Paint indoor/outdoor areas, replace ceiling tiles, replace lighting, ballast, fixtures, light switches, receptacle outlets, etc.
- Snow plowing/shoveling
- Application of salt/sand to prevent slippery surfaces
- Mowing lawns, trimming edges, overseeing sprinklers, applying fertilizer, etc. Trimming or facilitating routine tree maintenance as necessary Inspecting playground equipment and repairing necessary objects.
- Maintains and operates necessary equipment and machinery used for exterior property care
- Ensure consistent compliance with both health and safety standards, as well as industry codes
- Assist with tasks for turnover to include deep cleaning and grounds maintenance during summers and school breaks
- Effectively utilizes safety equipment during periods of exposure to odors, dust, poor ventilation, and other hazards associated with outdoor duties
- Assist with regular inspections of Atlas facilities
- Provide assistance when needed to support contractors, vendors, etc.
- Rotate coverage and services of buildings as needed and directed
- Rotating on call for after-hours emergencies (Sunday through Saturday)
- Respond to facility/ equipment alarms and system failures in an appropriately timely manner
- Provide prompt response to requests and issues through work orders, text, phone calls, and other requests as fit for urgency of need
- Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment for events
- Purchase necessary supplies as approved/directed by the Director of Facilities
- Support custodial as needed under direction of supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly/Non-Exempt
- $19.50 – 22.90 per hour
- Full Time; Monday – Friday; 35 - 40 Hours per week

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to successfully pass required background screening pursuant to CRS § § 22-30.5-110.7
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record
- Must be able to work between the hours of 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM and complete on call shifts as scheduled
- Must be able to maintain a friendly and positive demeanor around all staff and students
- Must have a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, sanitation, pest control, etc.
- Must have knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods used in general grounds-maintenance
- Must have a basic understanding of technology to effectively utilize the work order system
- Must be able to work independently with exceptional time management and attention to detail
- Must demonstrate and value accountability, excellence, integrity, resilience, respect, and responsibility
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate in HVAC and/or building maintenance technology
- Professional and satisfactory experience in construction, tile and flooring, lighting and ballast replacement, drywall repair, door repair, plumbing, general maintenance, and all facets of facility operation/ maintenance
- Experience working in a school environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to lift or carry burdens weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push and/or pull burdens weighing 100 lbs.
- Must be able to perform activities involving sitting, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching/squatting, crawling, twisting, and reaching utilizing a ladder or a lift
- Must be able to work with hands above shoulder height, carrying weight
- Must be able to be exposed to weather conditions including snow, heat, wind, and rain
- Must be able to abide by all policies and procedures of Atlas Preparatory School
