What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Fabrication Supervisor position at Atlas Professionals?
Our offshore wind client is seeking an Electrical Fabrication Supervisor to work onshore supporting fabrication and pre-assembly for a major US offshore windfarm. This is a contract position set to last through the end of February 2026. This is a Monday - Friday position, 40 hours per week, with up to 4 travel days required per month.
Responsibilities
- Represent company during fabrication of the electrical systems on the Turbine Foundations, including but not limited to LV systems, Earthing system, Array Cables Support, Measurements and SCADA/Radio systems.
- Supervise contractor to ensure successful fabrication and assembly of the Turbine Foundations on time and within the required Quality standards and HSE regulations.
- Ensures that free-issued equipment and components are installed, handled, and maintained in accordance with the project and vendor requirements.
- Supervise commissioning/testing of electrical systems.
- Advise and support the Foundation Fabrication Manager.
- Ensure that contractors are in line with agreed design and to required spec/quality.
- Keep and maintain a safe work environment within the team and the contractors/sub-contractors on site according to HSE guidelines and local procedures.
- Support of all relevant interfaces between Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Contractors QA/QC Representatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Site experience on fabrication yards, pre-assembly, or construction sites
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with wind turbines is preferred but not required
