Still Yard Manager

Atlas Roofing Shingle and Underlayment is seeking a Still Yard Manager for Clinton, IA.

• Maintain all Purchase Orders for MRO supplies. Ensure that requisitions are being entered correctly in PeopleSoft, which includes working with accounting for verification of payments
• Working close with the Operations Manager, Sales, and Shipping for scheduling purposes of the roofing plant
• Assist in the management of raw material inventories.
• Plan and carry out work very independently within the context of broad objectives; handle most problems and issues independently and determine course of action for ambiguous issues.
• Diversified duties that require an extensive knowledge of a particular field and the ability to determine the appropriate course of action based on complex issues
• Lead a team of 12-16 employees that are on different shifts.
• Be able to respond to plant needs during off hours. We are a 24/7/365 facility.
• May need to make decisions that would have an impact on the scheduling of the machines. Decisions must be made quickly and carry heavy financial responsibility.

Still Yard Manager Experience

• Five (5) years of manufacturing-based purchasing, planning and scheduling experience. Experience managing non-exempt employees.

Still Yard Manager Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must possess a good understanding of ERP systems and purchasing systems
• Manage 12-16 non-exempt employees in still yard. Responsibilities include scheduling, discipline, flow of material, expenditure, and projects.

Still Yard Manager Education, Licenses & Certifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business
