We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide overnight medical care for medically fragile children. This role involves monitoring and managing the complex healthcare needs of pediatric patients with chronic and acute conditions during night shifts. The NP will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality, family-centered care in a safe and supportive environment.
- Key Responsibilities :
Provide comprehensive overnight medical care to medically fragile children, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management.
Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions and collaborating with on-call physicians as needed.
Manage complex medical needs, including ventilator and tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube management, seizure monitoring, and other specialized treatments.
Perform routine and urgent procedures such as airway management, central line care, wound care, and medication administration.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and update individualized care plans to optimize health outcomes.
Support nursing staff by providing clinical guidance, assisting with emergencies, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Educate and support families and caregivers, offering guidance on medical management, home care, and long-term care planning.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, infection control policies, and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters, interventions, and treatment plans.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care.
