We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish Certified Medical Assistant for a renowned medical care network located in Queens. Under direct supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the CMA will be tasked with providing administrative and clinical support. The base pay range for this position is $20 to $23 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital signs, height, weight and document information into our EMR.
- Perform phlebotomy, complete appropriate laboratory forms and/or entry ordered laboratory services into the computer.
- Accurately labels specimen with patient data.
- Retrieve laboratory and ancillary test results from the computer, email or fax reports.
- Perform EKG and audio-visual testing and conduct tests (Urinalysis, Rapid Strep/Flu, Glucose (finger), mono, splinting/strapping, etc.).
- Assist on procedures including the setup and processing of equipment.
- Discharge patients from room with instructions.
- Perform vitals, specimen collections, health assessments and follow-up for patients.
- Ensure patient flow is speedy and organized.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office/clinic or hospital setting
- Bilingual in Spanish
