We are working with an industry-leading project management and consulting firm seeking a Benefits Specialist with deep expertise in Leave of Absence (LOA) management, compliance, and process optimization. We are seeking a seasoned Benefits Specialist to take ownership of the LOA administration, enhancing processes, ensuring compliance, and automating workflows for improved efficiency. This role is crucial in shaping the long-term roadmap for LOA management while managing day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily LOA activities and inquiries
Refine and rebuild LOA policies, SOPs, and workflows
Partner with HRIS teams to automate and streamline LOA processes
Ensure compliance with state-mandated leave requirements (CA, NY, WA, MI)
Analyze current frameworks and implement best practices
Provide strategic insight and roadmap planning for future improvements
Act as the primary contact for employees and stakeholders on LOA matters
Collaborate with leadership to support a seamless transition for the returning benefits team member
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in LOA design, administration, and compliance
Strong knowledge of multi-state leave laws (CA, NY, WA, MI)
Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Prior experience managing multi-state LOA programs
Certifications (CEBS, SHRM, PHR) are a plus but not required
