What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Fund Accountant position at Atlas Search?
My client is the hottest, fastest growing Alternative Investment firms, and they’re looking to hire a critical member to the Private Equity Fund Finance team to support this strategic growth.
They have been extremely successful, have significant buzz and positive press, and plan to double in the next year.
They are looking to add an Associate (Senior) to the team due to growth. This position will manage all fund accounting and financial reporting to investors, including capital activity, partner capital statements, annual audited financials, and tax deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Review fund draft documents (LPA/PPM) as well as underlying fund operational questionnaires prior to fund launch. Provide feedback to internal legal or fund origination teams if there is anything that should be considered from a fund finance perspective.
- Determine commitment sizes to underlying funds and conduct analysis on fund expenses.
- Oversee quarterly fund NAV and partners’ capital account statement issuance by the team and track KPIs.
- Review and sign-off on capital call and distribution cash analysis, investor allocation files and notices prepared by third party admins and Associate or AVP members of the Fund Finance team.
- Participate in management-level meetings internally and externally.
- Attend prospective clients’ on-site due diligence.
- Approve and release quarterly management fee payment wires.
- Facilitate and work with Technology team to drive process automation and efficiency.
- Monitor fund’s compliance with the partnership operating agreement terms.
- Oversee the funds’ progress on preparation of annual fund financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Requirements
- 2-6 years experience in Fund Accounting. Private Equity, Hedge Fund or Real Estate Fund Accounting. From Fund or Fund Admin.
- Also open to straight public external audit with fund clients.
- Accounting Degree
- CPA is a plus.
- Hybrid 4 days in office.
Salary : $85,000 - $115,000
