Job Description:
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the 24/7 operational performance of Freedom network. This position is responsible for managing operations to meet internal and customer service level commitments. The NOC Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams in daily operations meetings to triage anomalies and delegate tickets appropriately to subsystem experts. This position also requires periodic 24-hour on-call availability to respond promptly to network anomalies.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain network operations to ensure 24/7 performance and uptime of the ATLAS Freedom network.
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and resolve network performance issues impacting customer space missions
- Serve as the first point of escalation for complex technical issues, coordinating with customers, vendors, and remote technical teams
- Oversee and manage network events, including downtime, maintenance windows, software upgrades, and customer communications
- Track and manage power and internet service providers for ATLAS ground stations around the world to ensure reliable operations
- Develop, implement, and refine operational procedures to optimize network performance and efficiency
- Utilize and maintain operational tools, ensuring their functionality and relevance for daily network tasks
- Collaborate with the Software, Network, and Engineering teams to develop tools and solutions that improve workflow and problem resolution
- Proactively monitor network health and address potential issues before they impact customer service
- Ensure compliance with security and operational policies, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation, responding promptly to network outages and critical incidents
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas to enhance network stability, performance, and customer experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1-5 years experience in a technical field; experience in satellite communications in lieu of degree will be considered
- Demonstrated commitment to resolving complex issues
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to quickly master advanced workflow tools and analytical software
- Proven experience with ticketing systems and workflow management
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting defects and customer communications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IT networking.
- Experience in satellite communications and RF systems.
- Proficiency in one or more coding languages such as SQL, Java, or Python.
Location:
- ATLAS HQ in Traverse City, MI
- Travel is not anticipated but may be required on rare occasions
