What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manta Virtual Desktop Engineer position at Atlas Tech?
Atlas Tech is currently looking for a seasoned Sr. Virtual Desktop Engineer with extensive experience in Manta Virtual Desktop solutions and USCG VDI environments. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing our virtual desktop infrastructure, ensuring it meets the high standards and specific requirements of the US Coast Guard Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (USCG VDI). This role requires a strategic thinker and technical expert dedicated to optimizing our virtual desktop solutions for enhanced performance and security.
Travel up to 20%
You Will :
- Design, deploy, and maintain Manta Virtual Desktop environments, ensuring they are robust, secure, and efficient.
- Oversee and manage USCG VDI infrastructure, ensuring compliance with US Coast Guard standards and requirements.
- Lead and execute projects aimed at upgrading and enhancing virtual desktop infrastructure to meet evolving organizational needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to both Manta Virtual Desktops and USCG VDI environments.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to develop and enforce best practices for virtual desktop management, user support, and security.
- Monitor system performance, conducting regular analyses to identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of virtual desktop environments, configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide expert-level support and training to IT personnel and end-users, ensuring a high level of user satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting virtual desktop infrastructure.
