Description
Atlas Toyota Material Handling, part of the Atlas Companies, is currently hiring full-time Forklift Mechanics. Supplying Illinois, Southern Wisconsin, and Northwest Indiana, we offer new, used and rental equipment to handle a variety of material handling needs, alongside a wide assortment of forklift attachments, pallet jacks, parts and floor cleaning equipment. Atlas is looking for entry level to experienced technicians to join our well-established company and team! This role will be responsible for quality and efficient repairs of the equipment of Atlas and Atlas customers. The Technician will maintain and/or repair our customer’s material handling equipment and related facility equipment.

Requirements
What you will be responsible for
- Diagnose and repair Toyota and all other makes of lift-trucks and other heavy-duty material handling equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance on customer forklifts
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all products Atlas sells and services
- Maintaining necessary and customary technician tools
- Completing all service repair assignments in a reasonable time
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace/environment
- Attending monthly safety inspections and toolbox talks
- Performing other duties and tasks as assigned
The position might be right for you if you have
- Strong equipment repair, mechanical and/or electrical skills.
- Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in industrial or automotive industries.
- A willingness to learn and be trained.
- The ability to manage time and attendance. You must dependable, self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Physical Activities and Requirements
- Ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
