The Finance and Accounting Intern is responsible for assisting with financial record-keeping, budgeting, audits, and reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role also includes data analysis, administrative support, and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize financial records by logging transactions, updating ledgers, and ensuring accuracy.
- Review financial statements, spot trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Assist with audits by gathering documents, checking records for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Help with budgeting and forecasting by collecting data, entering figures into financial models, and analyzing budget differences.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations by creating charts, summarizing data, and ensuring clarity.
- Handle administrative tasks like filing, copying documents, and scheduling meetings.
- Take part in training sessions and seek mentorship to support learning and professional growth.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Internship, hourly
- Schedule: Full-time during the summer (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week); flexible hours during the school year based on class schedule.

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Previous internship or coursework in finance or accounting is a plus but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and financial software is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.
