Engineering Intern, Electrical Automation

Compensation: $34 - $48 per hour

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join the Automation Engineering team and perform Continuous improvement of automated cells as well as production support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PLC/Robot programming and be able to work independently and collaboratively to ensure our systems are functioning efficiently. 

Role/Responsibilities:

• Analyze production lines and identify opportunity areas.
• Propose, plan and develop improvements.
• Measure and document impact of improvements.
• Work Jointly with production team members and maintenance techs to find the most common faults of every line and come up with a solution.
• Provide training to the techs and production team members.

Qualification:

• Field(s) of study: Mechatronics engineering or any other related field 
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university. 
• Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD) 
• Basic knowledge of PLC and Robot programming (Allen Bradley/Fanuc).
• Basic knowledge of Python programming language is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
