Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Please know that both positions will be assigned on a daily basis and as required by the need of the operation and/or manpower requirements
Dispatcher
- Answering phone calls for wheelchair requests from airlines
- Inputting Wheelchair Requests and Dispatching Ticket Counters, Arrivals and Boarding's
- Communicate Status of Wheelchair Requests to Airlines
- Maintain Radio Communication with Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors, and Drivers
- Maintain Deviation of Employees, Assign Lunches and Breaks to agents
- Create and maintain Operation Plan and Boarding Log
- Assist passengers at the arrivals and departure levels including (FIS)
- Maintain, organize and count Run Slips
- Keep track of equipment - Radios, Aisle Chairs, Slings
- Keep Track of Connecting flight Passengers and Maintain Log
- Enforce Safety and Company Guidelines
- Coordinate Arrival and Departure Wheelchair requests
- Coordinate of FIS (Federal Inspection Service) area (i.e. Post-D, Meet & Greet)
- Maintain communication with Field Management
- Maintain constant communication with CBP and CSR's.
- Assist passengers at the arrivals and departure levels including (FIS)
- Writing reports and attends staff meetings
- Delegating subordinates
- Complaint Resolution
- Any other duties as required by the operations
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be proficient in English
- College Experience Preferred
- Airport experience a big plus
- Must have some supervisory experience
- Able to stay overtime to get the work done in a timely manner
- Good customer service skill
- Good telephone etiquette
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to stand 6 to 8 hours daily
- Ability to push a passenger up/down a 6° slope
- Ability to lift a 350 lb passenger to and from a seat, push a 350Ib passenger, and maneuver 50 lbs
- Must have a valid CA Driver License
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to legally work in the U.S.A
Wheelchair Dispatcher may be assigned other Wheelchair duties such as pushing, driving, and/or others depending on the operational needs.
