Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Exhibit Developer with strong graphic design skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design aesthetics and the ability to bring ideas to life through visually compelling graphics. In addition to graphic design expertise, this role will also involve conducting thorough background research to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of exhibit content.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop exhibit designs that align with project goals and objectives. Create high-quality graphic designs using software such as Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, ensuring visual consistency and brand adherence. Conduct comprehensive background research on exhibit topics, gathering relevant information from reputable sources. Work closely with content developers and subject matter experts to translate research findings into engaging exhibit content. Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input to enhance the overall visitor experience. Assist in the production and installation of exhibits, including graphics, signage, and interactive elements. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in exhibit design and graphic communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Museum Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in graphic design with proficiency in Adobe, particularly InDesign and Illustrator.
- Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design projects, preferably within the museum or exhibit design industry.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities with a passion for storytelling and education.
