Human Resources Generalist
Position Summary: This position will assist in providing a wide range of HR support by playing an active role with recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- As directed, assist with the recruitment process by placing ad’s, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference/background checks.
- Responsible for the onboarding training plans for new hires.
- Responsible for updating or creating job descriptions and organizational charts.
- Processes weekly payroll.
- Manages employee relations, conducts investigations, appropriately handles employee questions and complaints.
- Create, set-up, and maintain both electronic and paper human resource files.
- Maintain the annual performance review process.
- Manages all leaves including: FMLA, Short-Term Disability, bereavement, and unpaid leaves of absence.
- Schedule and facilitate employee events such as blood drives, flu shots, employee recognition/appreciation activities, and wellness activities.
- Keep up to date on industry trends and employment laws.
- Assist with benefits and conduct audits during the monthly reconciliation process.
- Assist with communications by typing up flyers, posters, minutes, office memos, etc.
- Other projects as requested by the Human Resource Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, organizational development, or related discipline.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
- Maintain confidentially of employee information and records.
- Outstanding time management to prioritize activities.
- High level of detail and excellent organizational skills
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
