Job Title: Electrical Engineer II
Type: Contract- 6 Months - Potential to Extend
Location: Mounds View, MN

Onsite 4 days a week
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer II for a very important client.
1. Manage prototype hardware in the lab/local locations
2. State of PCBAs
1. Apply/ensure rework is consistent across all systems (include directing technicians to perform this work)
2. Manage software/PL installed on the systems/PCBAs
3. Support software, systems possibly DA with PCBA
1. Issue debug
4. Board test plan and initial execution
5. Receive initial Boards 1 PCBAs
6. Develop low level checkout
1. Ohmic checks
2. Initial power on
3. Low level register testing (per PCBA if applicable)
7. Lead technicians once initial PCBAs are tested
1. Resource as test failures occur
2. Debug failures with technician assist.
8. Assist with EMC test setup (local internal prescreen and local test house)
9. Work hand in hand with PL team to test hardware interface and expected results
10. Develop/test board functions, ADC interfaces, DAC interfaces as needed.
11. Bridge External Contract House, Systems team, DA team and EE team on catheter simulator design
12. Assist with PCBA testing for first units
13. Design lab test fixtures, test boards to support functional testing for EE team, systems team
14. Participate in design reviews for schematics, layout

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Must Have
A Bachelor degree in electrical engineering is required. One or more years’ experience in medical device product development or equivalent is required. Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and proven hands-on electronic/mechanical skills.

Nice To Have
A Bachelor degree in electrical engineering is required. • One or more years’ experience in medical device product development or equivalent is required. • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and proven hands-on electronic/mechanical skills. • One or more years’ demonstrated experience and expertise with product testing, test equipment, analysis methodologies and test documentation is preferred. • Familiarity with standard test equipment. • One or more years’ experience in designing fixture. • Experience in testing electro-mechanical systems is a plus.

Design and verification of medical electrical equipment. Knowledge of IEC 60601 international standards.
• Experience working in a regulated industry with knowledge of common applicable standards for ablation systems like 60601-1 (electrical safety), 14971 (risk mgmt.)

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
