We are seeking an experienced professional with extensive knowledge in Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and / or Public Safety Radio systems to join our team. While experience with cellular radio will be considered, preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in Land / Public Safety Radio systems.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and implement two-way radio systems tailored for the county's fire, EMS, public safety, and transportation departments.
- Ensure projects are completed within specified timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Direct vendor activities including design, installation, and testing of client trunk and conventional systems.
- Oversee the implementation of multiple radio systems involving various vendor contracts.
- Provide detailed project guidance to the Department of Public Works for the development of nine tower sites adhering to Motorola R56 standards.
- Represent the County at town and village planning and zoning board meetings, presenting comprehensive plans for zoning approval.
- Collaborate with vendors and multiple County departments to ensure smooth system cutover within set deadlines and budgets.
- Preferred qualifications include PMP Certification, experience in delivering PM-Exp PowerPoint presentations, and proficiency in writing project plans.
- Conduct monthly presentations to Executive management, reporting on project progress and outcomes.
