The Director of Asset Management and Sales will lead the strategic direction and execution of sales initiatives to expand our reliability and asset management services across a range of manufacturing sectors. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth and developing strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and processes to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Understand, interpret, and rapidly respond to market changes by adjusting strategies and priorities in a fast transformative environment.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales objectives with the company's overall business strategy.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
- Assess and provide a recommendation for the organizational structure of the asset management & reliability sales group.
- Build sales team to align and scale with strategic growth objectives of the business
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of future team members.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations.
- Ability to engage in consultative selling, understanding the client's needs, and providing both standard and tailored solutions that address their specific reliability and asset management challenges.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner. Ability to present data driven insights and use data analytics to demonstrate the ROI of reliability engineering solutions in sales pitches and proposals.
- Negotiate and close high-value contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
- Research, monitor and evaluate sales patterns, suggesting adjustments to business or commercial strategy as required.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic plans to the executive team.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage sales pipeline and track progress.
- Work closely with internal departments such as product development, marketing, and customer service to ensure a cohesive approach to client solutions.
- Work closely with Operations Managers to remain current with customer needs and evolving project requirements.
- Strategic participation in key account Project Status updates.
- Drive innovation by identifying new value-add solutions and services that meet market demands.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in business/ economics, engineering, or comparable field of study.
- CMRP or similar Reliability/Asset Management Certification.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and effectively implementing sales strategies, business plans, forecasts, and budgets, and driving sales results above market growth.
- Proven experience building, mentoring, motivating and leading high-performing teams and attracting and retaining top talent.
- Sales background within global organizations coupled with proven experience in developing transformative and effective sales processes and strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively convey the value proposition of asset management and reliability engineering services.
- Financial acumen; especially related to margin improvement levers and cash generation.
- Proficient in the technical aspects of asset management and reliability engineering including Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), maintenance strategies, and others.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the specific reliability challenges faced by the industry.
