We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties
- Oversee the nursing department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements including Medicare and HIPAA standards.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to promote professional development and high-quality patient care.
- Manage the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices in assisted living and nursing home care.
- Conduct regular assessments of medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with MDS (Minimum Data Set) requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that respect resident rights and preferences.
- Lead shift management operations, ensuring adequate staffing levels and efficient workflow throughout the facility.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance overall care delivery.
Experience
- A valid nursing license with significant experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Proven experience with supervising nursing staff, managing shifts, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations, medical records management, MDS assessments, and resident rights.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff at all levels.
