Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care is delivered consistently.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to enhance team effectiveness.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of patients.
- Conduct regular reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate care effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and best practices in nursing care.
- Ensure compliance with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and other regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork among staff.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in acute care settings, assisted living, or home health environments.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation requirements.
- Experience with supervising nursing staff and managing teams effectively.
- Knowledge of care plans and MDS processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of nursing management.
