Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight:
- Provide vision and leadership for the department, developing objectives, nursing standards, and policies.
- Supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and assigning duties within budget and census guidelines.
- Act as a shift supervisor and provide consultation to staff on complex cases.
Resident Care:
- Organize and oversee resident care programs, ensuring continuity of care.
- Advocate for residents' rights, supporting their ability to make choices regarding their care and surroundings.
- Implement and oversee interdisciplinary care planning and restorative care programs.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
- Monitor infection control practices and oversee the implementation of quality assurance programs.
- Compile and report monthly quality data, including falls, skin health, psychotropic medication use, and chart compliance.
Policy & Budget:
- Develop, implement, and monitor departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in budgeting and maintain expense records to ensure financial stewardship.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required upon hire.
- 2–4 years of supervisory experience in long-term care nursing or demonstrated leadership in a similar facility.
- Strong understanding of reimbursement systems, Federal and State Regulations, and TJC standards.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- CPR certification (required within 90 days of hire).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
