Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.
Duties
- Perform sonographic examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and obstetric scans.
- Utilize appropriate medical imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety protocols during procedures.
- Document patient history and prepare reports based on ultrasound findings.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss results and provide insights into patient care.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout the imaging process.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and medical technology.
Experience
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential for effective performance in this role.
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology practices and procedures is preferred.
- Experience in Ob/Gyn sonography is a plus, enhancing the ability to perform specialized examinations.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with patients and explaining procedures clearly.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting or healthcare environment is advantageous.
