Your Role:
As a Nursing Laboratory Instructor, you will help students build the hands-on skills necessary to apply nursing theory effectively in clinical practice. Through engaging lab instruction and practical application, you will ensure that students develop the competence, confidence, and critical thinking skills needed to excel in patient care. This position is ideal for experienced nurses who want to share their expertise and step into academia, with the potential to advance into lead faculty or administrative roles over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Engaging Lab Sessions – Facilitate hands-on nursing laboratory instruction, ensuring students master essential nursing techniques and procedures.
- Supervise & Support Students – Guide students as they practice clinical skills in the laboratory setting, ensuring they gain confidence and competence.
- Facilitate Student-Centered Discussions – Engage students in reflective discussions that enhance their understanding and prepare them for real-world nursing challenges.
- Collaborate with Our Nursing Faculty Team – Work closely with classroom instructors and laboratory site staff to align lab experiences with curriculum goals.
- Assess & Provide Constructive Feedback – Evaluate students’ lab performance and provide detailed, growth-oriented feedback to help them refine their skills.

What You Need:
- A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited institution. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Illinois.
- At least 3 years of experience as a registered nurse.
- Recent direct patient care experience in the past year, whether in clinical practice or as an instructor.
