The Position :
The Executive Assistant / Bookkeeper will provide high-level support to the CEO and organization while upholding the mission and vision of Attack Poverty . This role includes managing the CEO's schedule and communications, performing administrative tasks, and assisting with HR functions. Additionally, this role will assist with financial reporting, journal entries, month-end reporting, and reconciliations, and will support tax filings and audits while being a champion of the mission and the vision to tell the story of Attack Poverty.
Champion the mission and vision of Attack Poverty and uphold the statement of faith.Act as a liaison between the CEO and other team members.Manage the CEO's travel arrangements, calendar, emails, meeting opportunities, and presentations.Ensure the administrative office runs smoothly by enforcing office procedures and ensuring data entry and acknowledgment processes are accurate, timely, and confidential.Work closely with the CEO to maintain and update board and committee notebooks, generate meeting notices, and finalize meeting minutes for the Board of Directors and related committees.Interact with internal and external stakeholders including employees, organization leaders, donors, community residents, volunteer groups, and community stakeholders.Assist with financial reports in an accurate and timely manner and clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements to leadership.Assist with month-end reporting, including reconciliations and ensuring timely and accurate closing.Assist the accountant and comptroller with booking operations including oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and maintenance of the general ledger.Create and review journal entries as needed to maintain accurate and up to date records.Assist with all tax filing needs, including city taxes, annual tax preparation, and all related audits, including preparation of materials.Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to the company, CEO, board, employees, and financial data.Education & Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.5 years of administrative experience.2 years of accounting / bookkeeping experience.Proven ability to work with limited supervision.Experience with Bill and / or QuickBooks required.Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.Desired Skills and Competencies :
