Attending Home Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to pediatric patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children and their families through compassionate, attentive care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
· Personal Care Assistance: Assist pediatric patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
· Health Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration, and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
· Medication Assistance: Help with the administration of medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring correct dosages and adherence to medication schedules.
· Nutritional Support: Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary guidelines and any special nutritional needs of the patient.
· Activity Engagement: Encourage and assist with age-appropriate activities and exercises to promote physical and emotional development.
· Family Support: Provide support and education to family members and caregivers on how to effectively care for the patient, including training on specific care techniques and use of medical equipment.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily observations and any changes in the patient’s condition.
· Hygiene and Safety: Ensure a clean and safe environment for the patient, including maintaining hygiene standards and proper use of medical equipment.
Qualifications:
· Experience: Previous experience in pediatric care or home health care is a must.
· Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with children and their families.
· Certifications: Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required
· Work Authorization: Eligibility to work in the US.
· Other: Ability to follow care plans and instructions, demonstrate empathy, and work independently or as part of a team.
