Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree required
2. Prior leadership and management experience
3. Excellent organizational and communication skills
4. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
5. Computer and financial literacy, including Microsoft, Excel, and other platforms as required
6. Must pass criminal background checks
Purpose: The Director of Operations will oversee the operational functions of Attleboro Public Schools, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive environment that supports our educational mission and enhances student learning. He or she works to ensure the operational success of the organization, ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met, and that resources are managed effectively. It is expected that the Director will be “hands on” and spend most of his/her time throughout the district overseeing the various projects underway.
Reports to: The Director of Operations will report to the Senior Director of Finance.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Facilities, IT, and Transportation departments, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and performance standards.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for district facilities
• Collaborate with district leaders, school principals, and external agencies to align operational services with district’s needs
• Serve as primary liaison for operational matters for the Superintendent and School Committee
• Manage transportation logistics, vehicle maintenance, and vendor management to ensure efficient and safe student transportation
• Oversee facility safety protocols ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Implement effective operation and communication-related procedures/policies
• Establish and maintain health and safety protocols including school safety plans, evacuation and crisis plans and fire-drill routes
• Coordinate with municipal departments on capital projects, emergency management planning and periods of extreme conditions (weather, construction, etc.) to assure smooth operation of daily district operations
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Finance on budgeting and procurement processes
• Other appropriate duties as assigned by the Superintendent
Salary range: $110,000 - $125,000
