Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role requires a solid understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles. We will train in proprietary accounting software.
Duties
- Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Perform journal entries and assist with general ledger reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable, including tracking payments and outstanding invoices.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments or vendor accounts.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation for audits.
Requirements
- 5 years experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and internal departments.
