Atwood & McCall is seeking an Intake Paralegal for our growing firm. The right candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and prioritize daily tasks. The Intake Paralegal is an integral member of our legal team as one of the first points of contact for prospective clients to our firm. Essential Functions:
- Primary responsibility of the Intake Paralegal is to build and manage the processes of onboarding potential new clients and previous clients with new legal matters.
- The Intake Paralegal will also manage referral partners and their referrals to the Firm for new legal matters and assist in closing out matters once the Firm completes its representation.
- Coordinate with potential clients to obtain required information, send out intake forms, enter client information into systems, schedule attorney conversations/meetings, monitor progress of pending engagement matters, and ensure potential clients sign engagement agreements with the Firm.
- Develop, update, and manage the Firm’s CRM platforms and electronic client intake forms.
- Draft engagement agreements.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for consultations with clients and potential new clients.
- Attend department meetings and keep track of tasks related to open/close client matters.
- Provide administrative support tasks as assigned.
Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience (1-3 years) working at a law firm is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with superior attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service skills.
- Creativity, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced client-focused environment.
- Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Aptitude to take ownership of tasks and projects.
- Ability to learn, utilize, and stay current on new software, technology, and techniques as needed to meet the changing demands of the legal marketplace.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with legal practice management software (Clio) and CRM software (Clio Grow) is a plus.
- Desire for continuous learning and engage in self-improvement.
- Collaborative worker and teambuilding ability.
- Texas Notary Public is a plus.
