Our client is the largest freight station based in the Northwest. They have provided reliable, quality service to customers around the world for more than forty years.Responsibilities :
- Supervise and Assist Operations Manager to advise as to load patterns, etc., to ensure stablecargo placement and integrity.
- Ensure all cargo is loaded to the correct container and being delivered to the terminals againstthe proper booking, order, etc.
- Assist Operations Manager on training and retraining new and current employees.
- Oversee equipment in the container yard and notify operations managers of any necessaryrepairs needed.
- Verify all loading plans, flatbed and containers are correctly loaded prior to leaving the lot.
- Monitor supplies, notify Operations Manager when supplies are low and ready for reordering.
- Inspect terminal equipment upon entry into the lot and Monitor and check-out lot equipment toTeamsters as needed.Skills
- Must have forklift experience for 5 consecutive years.
- Leadership or Supervisor experience.
- Experience moving heavy material, like pipe, lumber, etc.
- This is an outdoor environment. We work directly in the elements of rain, snow, heat and coldweather with little to no shelter.
- Must pass Background check and Drug test
