What are the responsibilities and job description for the OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR position at AtWork Group?
Our client is the largest freight station based in the Northwest. They have provided reliable, quality service to customers around the world for more than forty years.
Responsibilities :
Supervise and Assist Operations Manager to advise as to load patterns, etc., to ensure stable
cargo placement and integrity.
Ensure all cargo is loaded to the correct container and being delivered to the terminals against
the proper booking, order, etc.
Assist Operations Manager on training and retraining new and current employees.
Oversee equipment in the container yard and notify operations managers of any necessary
repairs needed.
Verify all loading plans, flatbed and containers are correctly loaded prior to leaving the lot.
Monitor supplies, notify Operations Manager when supplies are low and ready for reordering.
Inspect terminal equipment upon entry into the lot and Monitor and check-out lot equipment to
Teamsters as needed.
Skills
Must have forklift experience for 5 consecutive years.
Leadership or Supervisor experience.
Experience moving heavy material, like pipe, lumber, etc.
This is an outdoor environment. We work directly in the elements of rain, snow, heat and cold
