We are looking for a Staff Accountant II who will be responsible for performing advanced accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role collaborates with internal teams to support month-end and year-end closing processes, analyze financial data, and other duties as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assists outside auditors at year-end to include preparing schedules, invoices, providing explanations of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing any other necessary data.May prepare special reports and analysis as required by management.Preparation with analyzing, auditing, and reclassifying costs for company and related subsidiaries.Preparation with posting month-end closing entries for company and related subsidiaries.Preparation in posting monthly subsidiary charges, including admin service charges, interest expenses, income tax, insurance allocation, and other intercompany charges.Preparation in posting monthly recurring journal entries for company and related subsidiaries.Attends staff and team meetings as required and performs other duties as necessary.Prepares monthly financial statements to include preparation of monthly balance sheet, income statement, reports on changes in financial position / budget variances.Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current projected company financial position.Coordinates monthly financial statements.Maintains records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting materials.Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.Assists in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing entries for all entities.Assists billing due list and updates contract information in SAP as received from Corporate Legal department or designed property managers.Abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies.QUALIFICATIONS :
4-year college degree in accounting, finance or other related field or equivalent experience preferred.2 to 4 years of professional accounting experience working with accounting fundamentals and general ledger systems or superior performance as a Staff Accountant I.Ability to communicate, both verbal and written to all levels of employees in a professional and efficient manner.Detailed understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.Excellent mathematical skills required with demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.Good written and verbal communication skills as well as good organizational skills.Must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.Knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to Excel, Word, and SAP.Company Description
