Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate all project phases, from planning through post-installation, ensuring efficiency and high standards of quality. Resolve project issues promptly, maintaining clear communication with cross-functional teams.
- Team Leadership & Training: Conduct field recaps with key team members and develop training programs for surveyors, installers, crew leads, electricians, and project managers to drive team performance and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Participate in project management meetings to review project timelines, identify potential delays, and suggest improvements.
- Inventory & Equipment Oversight: Manage inventory audits, oversee the organization of materials efficiently, and maintain up-to-date records in CRM platform. Oversee equipment needs, coordinate replacements, and strategize to meet new market demands.
- Financial & Resource Planning: Align on project budgets and resource allocation. Keep project documentation templates updated and support financial tracking to meet company goals.
- Process Optimization: Lead efforts to enhance processes such as design requests, bill of materials (BOM) creation, and field plan preparation. Ensure accuracy in documentation and streamline processes for efficiency.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Regularly audit installer hours and track key performance metrics, providing insights for leadership on project efficiency and success metrics.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in operations or project management in the solar industry.
- Solar Expertise: Direct experience in solar operations is required to ensure project knowledge and industry familiarity.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Sortly) and a strong understanding of solar installation processes.
- Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking ability with attention to detail for managing complex projects and inventory needs.
- Problem Solver: Proactive, solution-oriented approach with a track record of managing project challenges efficiently.
Compensation: $24 - $32 per hour, depending on experience. Solar operations experience is required.
