Security Guard

As a Security Guard, you will be focused on monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to ensure we are providing a safe environment for guests and Team Members. This individual will also look to minimize opportunities for loss or damage.

• Protect all resort aspects from theft or damage while maintaining vigilant oversight of the property's security needs.
• Coordinate with leadership and appropriate external agencies as needed for special events, to ensure smooth operations while maintaining appropriate security protocols and adhering to company standards and guidelines.
• Support & execute workplace safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for all team members and guests.
• Conduct regular and frequent patrols of the property perimeter and internal areas, monitoring for unauthorized access, vandalism, or wildlife intrusion. This includes checking fencing, gates, and other security infrastructure during each shift.
• Respond to any safety concerns promptly and diligently while adhering to company standards and guidelines.
• Manage and monitor facility access controls to maintain property security while ensuring authorized personnel and guest access.
• Maintain proficient knowledge of security systems including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control equipment. Respond promptly to any security alerts or unusual activity detected through these systems.
• Recommend new policies and procedures to enhance resort security efforts and continuously improve safety measures.
• Any other duties as assigned.
  
  

Pay Rate: $25/hour - $30/hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in security management, criminal justice, or related field preferred
• NYS valid security guard license
• Minimum 2 years of security experience
• Valid driver's license
• Physical ability to walk extensive grounds and work in various weather conditions
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail
• First Aid/CPR certification desired
