In 2019, Ward Home joined the Auberle family and has three programs in our Young Adult Services Department.
Program Description:
Foster Care Program is located at main campus in McKeesport with work throughout Allegheny and neighboring counties where resource homes are located and children & young people served are from. Work in this program plays a crucial role in the lives of children and families, offering support and ensuring the best possible outcomes for all parties involved. Foster care programs work diligently to make sure that children in the foster care system receive the care, stability, and guidance they need to thrive. This work is more than just a job; it’s a calling to make a profound impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. This pivotal role involves advocating for the well-being of children placed in resource homes, working closely with natural and resource families to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. As a foster care worker, you will have the opportunity to guide and support children through challenging transitions, ensuring they receive the care, stability, and opportunities they need to thrive.
Position Title and Overview:
Case Aide

Develop and maintain a strong, trusting relationship with the families served and young people placed to foster engagement and support growth.

Provide emotional support as you transport and supervise children and families as assigned.

Promote normalcy experiences, such as playing at a park or preparing a meal together, where you will teach & guide parents towards safe practices that promote attachment throughout visitation while ensuring safety of the clients involved.

Communicate effectively and thoroughly with all team members including parents, professionals, and clients.

Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation to ensure safety and provide effective tracking and reporting.

Support assigned Case Manager with their caseload.
Location and Travel Requirements:
This position is primarily located in McKeesport. All positions are also expected to come to training, meetings, and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport, as scheduled.
The travel required for this position is frequent.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
-
Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances required.
-
High school diplima/GED and experience working with young people 21 years of age of older.

Valid PA driver’s license, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance.

Requires frequent travel throughout the greater Pittsburgh Area, including transportation of children & young people, with use of all types of car seats.

Physical stating fit and able to work with children along with free of all communicable diseases.

Requires working varied hours, including evenings or weekends.
