Curriculum Coordinator

We are currently looking for a strong, knowledgeable, candidate that is reliable and able to assist teachers with the daily curriculum. It will be the responsibility of the Curriculum Coordinator to coordinate the staff's efforts to upgrade the quality of the daily program provided for children in accordance with the criteria established by ADCC.

Responsibilities

1. Establish and maintain effective professional relationship with teachers, director and administrative staff.

2. Observes classroom practices and reviews assessment data weekly

3. Completes, enters and submits classroom visit report and other documentation within one day of classroom visit to effectively communicate teacher progress toward quality standards and planned goals.

4. Establishes joint plans and goals collaboratively with teachers to ensure the best practices and quality improvements are being met.

5. Intentionally pre-plans activities to share and model based on the joint plan created with the teacher, as well as spontaneous in context modeling of specific behaviors and strategies are used to support the teacher’s understanding toward improved classroom practices.

6. Encourages teachers’ refection on current practices/strategies and collaboratively plans with teacher to develop an individualized professional development plan which will be evaluated quarterly.

7. Provides feedback for the purpose of building the teacher’s understanding of specific practices and / or encourages them to continue working toward a goal.

8. Maintains coaching log and other documents

9. Review and assist with lesson plans and goal document.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design

2. Strong communication and presentation skills

3. Experience with Smart Teach, GOLD

4. Classroom experience and adult education expertise

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Work Location: In person

Salary : $13 - $17
