Pay Transparency:
The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $33,000.00/Yr.-$35,000.00/Yr..
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities:
- Anchoring top and bottom hour newscasts
- Operating the audio board
- Going out on location to cover news events
- Updating our website and assisting preparations for newscasts.
- Producing and recording news segments
- Gathering, writing, recording, editing and delivering news/traffic & weather content including live coverage from the field as well as the studio.
- Use social media - including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - during the course of your shift to connect with listeners, promote upcoming stories and interviews, and to highlight station content.
- Identify engaging moments originating from our radio shows and transforming them into a produced video/audio for digital consumption.
- Interviewing newsmakers.
- Writing scripts and ad-libbing material for stories.
- Development and research of potential news stories.
Qualifications:
Required & Preferred:
- High energy, passionate approach needed
- Journalistic writing skills a must
- Simple digital video and editing skills
- Anchoring on-air newscasts
- Understand that accurate reporting and speed to market is critical
- Must be mobile to cover news on the scene and in the field
- Existing cell phone service and recent edition smartphone
- A vision for excellence
- 2 or more years experience covering breaking news, and original news stories for media using audio and digital assets.
- Produce content on multi-media platforms including web and social media sites
- A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
