We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Service Team as an Internal Service Advisor. In this position, the Internal Service Advisor helps coordinate all internal repair orders for pre-owned vehicles. This includes writing internal service repair orders for pre-owned vehicles, creating estimates, dispatching the work to the technicians, and subletting repairs if necessary. They will also maintain and create work orders, undertake responsibility for writing warranty PDI repair orders for new stock units, coordinate with sales managers and service manager accurately; and follow up with each repair work.
Job Responsibilities
- Writing internal service repair orders for pre-owned vehicles, dispatching work to technicians, and subletting work if necessary
- Ensure all parts and labor charges are accurate and all sublet charges billed to repair order.
- Provide comprehensible explanation of repair process, the need for signatures, cost estimate and completion time
- Ensure proper and complete documentation and billing on repair orders
- Provide accurate repair/maintenance estimates
- Adhere to policies on vehicle care and operation
- Follow up on each repair and keep managers informed of progress
- Inspect repair quality and ensure all work is complete
- Notify managers once repairs are complete
- Review and explain repairs and associated costs with managers
- Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems
Requirements
- Proven experience in service writing or a similar role within the automotive industry.
- 4 years of customer service experience required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
- A clean, valid driver’s license is required; familiarity with various vehicle types is advantageous.
