We are looking for a Hardware Quality Technician for our West Jordan, UT location. This is a full-time, in-office position.
In this position, you will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required company standards for quality and safety. You may also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement. To ensure success as a quality technician, you should have a strong working knowledge of quality concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, a top-class quality technician can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products.
Duties Include:
- Perform detailed inspections and testing of hardware components (circuit boards, connectors, mechanical parts).
- Identify defects or malfunctions and document findings.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to address quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Use specialized testing tools and equipment to ensure hardware reliability.
- Analyze hardware performance under various environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity).
- Develop and follow testing protocols to comply with company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection and testing results.
- Conduct root cause analysis on hardware failures and suggest corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process optimizations.
- Assist with the maintenance of quality testing equipment.
- Participate in quality audits and provide feedback for optimization.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Associate degree or Technical Certification (preferred) in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Quality Control.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or hardware inspection role.
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing or hardware testing (highly preferred).
- Experience with root cause analysis for hardware defects or failures.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical hardware components (circuit boards, connectors, sensors, etc.).
- Ability to utilize testing equipment and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to document findings accurately.
- Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly wage is negotiable based on skill level and experience.
