Audubon is currently seeking a Piping Drafter I to join our team in our Metairie, LA office. The Piping Drafter I will perform entry level drafting assignments associated with designing Piping equipment, components, structures or systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
- Performing inspection ISO’s.
- Highlighting Circuited P&ID’s.
- Initiating high-level drawings following instructions from designer, supervisor, specifications and/or sketches.
- Implementing revisions and change control per company standards at the direction of senior level designers and engineers.
- Producing drawings from redlines received from designers and engineers.
- Maintaining proper file management in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Clarifying instructions with designers and engineers when drawing markups or verbal instructions are unclear.
- Performing field data gathering when requested by supervisor or manager.
- Maintaining a continued awareness of task schedule and budget.
- Complying with all company and client health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as federal and local HSSE regulations.
- Actively participating in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, and immediately reporting any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents to your supervisor.
- Additional duties as assigned.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s Degree from a Technical Institution preferred.
- AutoCAD software experience required.
- CADWorx software experience preferred.
- Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work related problems.
- Ability to comprehend instructions and request clarification as necessary.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Ability to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
